Police Arrest Burglar For Breaking Into Bellaire Home, Three More Burglaries Reported

Bellaire police are investigating four home burglaries that occurred between Jan. 31-Feb. 3.

Bellaire police arrested a burglar who was attempting to break into a home on Evergreen on Feb. 3.

According to police reports, officers were dispatched to the 4500 block of Evergreen around 9:15 p.m. for a home burglary that was in progress.

Police arrived and arrested one suspect who was fleeing the scene. Two other suspects got away, police said.

Karnard Bailey, 28, was arrested and charged with attempted burglary of a habitation.

Three other burglaries were reported in a one-week period.

On Feb. 3, a home was broken into in the 5100 block of Huisache.

The burglars stole jewelry and coins from the home.

On Feb. 2, a home was broken into in the 1200 block of Mulberry Lane.

The unknown suspects took several pieces of jewelry from the home, police said.

On Jan. 31, several pieces of jewelry were stolen from a home in the 4300 block of Lampton.

These incidents are under investigation.
