TYLER, TX (EAST TEXAS NEWS) – In an effort to remodel and establish what they call their flagship store, Cavender’s is temporarily relocating in Tyler.
Clay Cavender said they will relocate to the former Stein Mart site at 2125 S. Broadway Ave. He noted they are carrying out a full remodel at the Tyler Loop location and expect to be back at the original site by Thanksgiving.
“We’re remodeling everything, from top to bottom,” Cavender said. “There has been a strong need for this for many years. We want this to be our flagship store.”
Cavender’s first store opened in 1977. Today, there are 95 locations spread across the Southwest.
Cavender said they will move out of the Loop location on Sunday. The new site will be closed Monday and open Tuesday.
Cavender said the western wear family business is thriving.
“Last year was a record year for us,” he said. “The business remains very healthy.”
