ARP, Texas (East Texas News) – The Arp Independent School District Board of Trustees has approved placing two bond proposals on the ballot.
Proposal A would authorize $4.95 million for expansions and upgrades to facilities and transportation. It would fund the construction of new classrooms on the high school campus, security enhancements across all campuses, renovations to the elementary and secondary campuses, and the purchase of new school buses.
Proposal B would authorize $4.95 million for a multipurpose facility intended for community and district use.
In a letter to voters, the district stated that the bond would not result in an increase to the tax rate.
The election will be held on November 4.
