TYLER, Texas (EAST TEXAS NEWS) – A Tyler city council has paved the way for a growing wholesale club to expand into the southern part of the city.
BJ’s Wholesale Club plans to become a new development just south of West Cumberland Road on South Broadway Avenue.
A BJ’s representative spoke before the planning and zoning commission on Tuesday, stating that there are currently no locations in Texas, but four are under construction in Forney, Waxahachie, Grand Prairie, and Fort Worth.
Like Sam’s Club, BJ’s will require a membership to shop at the club and will include a gas station.
