EAST TEXAS (EAST TEXAS NEWS) – Good morning, East Texas! Our Tuesday morning is starting off much calmer this time around, with dry skies and mostly clear conditions this morning. Most areas will begin in the upper 60s to the lower 70s, but temperatures will quickly climb back into the mid- to upper-90s this afternoon, with the heat index likely reaching into the upper 90s and around 100 degrees.
The sky will stay completely dry on Wednesday and Thursday; afterward, there will be a chance of isolated showers from Friday through Sunday. Southerly winds have returned today and will linger through the rest of the week, suggesting a slightly warmer trend over the next few days, with some spots topping the upper 90s from Thursday through Sunday.
After all, this is the hottest time of year for us! Stay cool and be sure to drink plenty of water throughout the day, especially if you work outdoors.
